For several years now the Internet and television screens have been flooded with apocalyptic visions related to December 21st 2012. Much of this sensational material has been based on the now-legendary Mayan Calendar. Is it true that the calendar is coming to an end? Are we about to experience catastrophe on a global scale? What were the ancient Mayans trying to tell us about the age in which we currently live?
