Dover Lodge continues to grow by leaps and bounds. This quarter we have the following dates set for Master Mason degree conferral. Congratulations to Brother Gillard, our newest Master Mason. Brother Gillard was raised on Thursday 1/22/10, and has shown a true Master’s perception of the degree and the symbols contained therein. The Brethren of Dover Lodge look forward to Brother Gillard’s future works, and are pleased to share with the world yet another shining example of what makes Dover Lodge what it is.
Thanks also to the Brethren of our sister Lodges who attended and helped us put on Brother Gillard’s degree. We truly appreciate your kindness and beg the opportunity to return the favor!
Brethren, our 2010 Inspection is fast approaching. Please join us on Thursday April 15th at 7:30pm for practice in the Fellowcraft Degree.
REMINDER: Brethren, Dover Lodge will be raising a Brother to the sublime degree of Master Mason on Thursday January 21st 2010 at 7:30pm! Our Brother is anxiously awaiting the revelation of the highest degree in Freemasonry, and trust me Brethren he is certainly worthy of this honor! Please join us as we mark this most memorable night in the life of our Brother. All officers in tuxedos, and Brethren in suits or sport coats and ties please.
Alas Brethren, I regret to inform you of the passing of Brother Paul Barenok. Brother Barenok peacefully passed to the Celestial Lodge early in the morning of January 9th, 2010. He was an instrumental driver toward bringing Dover Lodge into the 21st Century, and he will be sorely missed both as our Treasurer and our Dear Brother.
A Masonic Service will be held on Wednesday January 13th 2010 at 7:00pm at Zeis-McGreevey Funeral Home (16105 Detroit Ave., Lakewood). Church Service will be held on Thursday January 14th 2010 at 10:30am at Rocky River United Methodist Church (19414 Detroit Rd., Rocky River).
It is the sincere hope of our Worshipful Master that all Brethren who can make it be in attendance.

Notes of our departing time;
As we journey here below.
Through a pilgrimage of woe!
Mortals, now indulge a tear,
For mortality is here!
See how wide her trophies wave

I am a newly conferred EA at Dover Lodge and I have been extremely impressed with the men of this fraternity. I highly value the passion, commitment, and dedication from the Officer Team and Brethren to the gentle craft. They pledge their dedication to each new brother and candidate to ensure that the individual is given what they need to maximize their own individual journey. Brethren, the first Thursday of each month is our Stated Business Meeting at Dover Lodge. The Lodge opens at 7:30pm sharp, and all officers are expected to wear tuxedos. The Brethren are asked to be attired in suit and tie.
Our format is to devote the first Thursday to business only, making for a much shorter meeting and allowing the Brethren more chance for fellowship without going into the “wee hours”. Come out and see what’s new with Dover Lodge – we look forward to seeing you there!
