Congratulations to our newest Brother who was made a Mason last evening. Our thanks go to the Brethren who gave all of their energy to make sure this was a memorable night for our newest Dover Lodge member. The Masonic professionalism was impressive, to say the least! We enjoyed a pizza party afterward, and heard a dramatic reading of Dan Brown’s latest book (‘The Lost Symbol’). Of course, the fellowship lasted well into the night!
Brethren, our schedule is already booked solid through the end of the year and beyond. New petitions continue to come in (in fact, we received another last night after the degree work) and Dover Lodge continues to grow by leaps and bounds. While we’re very pleased by the numbers, it is the quality of men approaching our doors that is the most exciting part. Dover Lodge has found itself in a position whereby we have been able to remain very selective about who partakes in the Mysteries of Freemasonry within our Masonic walls. We are proud of our selectiveness, just as we are proud of the men who do become a part of us.
These are indeed very exciting times at Dover Lodge. If you’re interested in the kind of Masonry that has been practiced for hundreds of years (and more), come join us. We’re sure you’ll leave with a smile on your face, a brotherly hand on your back, and profound thought in your mind.

Please join us on Thursday October 22nd 2009 at 7:30pm as we bring this Brother to the next level in his Masonic journey. Officers are required to dress in tuxedos, and all Brethren in suits or coats with ties please. Come be a part of our noble work!

Officers are required to wear tuxedos, and the Brethren are requested in suits or coats and ties. It will be a memorable night for this Brother, but only if you’re there!

The Brethren of Dover Lodge will reopen the doors of the Westlake Masonic Temple on Thursday September 3rd, officially ending Summer Darkness! Please join us for our stated meeting as we welcome our District Deputy Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Behner, who will share with us an entertaining and educational program from Grand Lodge. This promises to be an exciting meeting, and a great chance to get back together with our Masonic Brethren to catch up on the summer’s events.
What is more, several of the Dover Lodge Brethren worked very hard during the summer giving Dover Lodge a much-needed makeover. Come see the new library, and the redecorated lodge and fellowship room. Even our kitchen was redone! Landscaping, a new flagpole and some paint and washing were all a part of the mix. All in all, Dover Lodge has always been a welcoming place – but has been made even more welcoming thanks to the efforts of dedicated Brethren.

Brethren, the third Thursday of each month has been declared a ritual meeting by our Worshipful Master. Please be here for ritual practice and learning. Dress is casual, and the meeting starts at 7:30p sharp. We look forward to seeing you there!

Brethren, the first Thursday of each month is our Stated Business Meeting at Dover Lodge. The Lodge opens at 7:30pm sharp, and all officers are expected to wear tuxedos. The Brethren are asked to be attired in suit and tie.
Our format is to devote the first Thursday to business only, making for a much shorter meeting and allowing the Brethren more chance for fellowship without going into the “wee hours”. Come out and see what’s new with Dover Lodge – we look forward to seeing you there!
